Step 1 – Start by thoroughly cleaning the laminate floors, so all the crumbs, hair, dirt, and all the debris that has piled on your floor. Make sure that you either remove all the furniture from the space or at least move them around to clean the floors. This way you will be able to ensure that all the floors are in the same position, so in the future, if you do change the setting you will have perfectly clean and shiny floors. Step 2 – Then take a large bucket and add one cup of vinegar to a gallon of lukewarm water. Then use the mixture and start to clean your floors using a soft mop. Step 3 – Clean out the bucket filled with vinegar and water, wash it out and fill it with warm water. Then wash the mop and use the mop to rub down the floors. However, do not rub down too hard. As this step will help clear out the smell of vinegar from the floors. Then use a dry lint-free cloth to dry the floor using your hands.

Step 4 – The next step requires you to get a good laminate wood polish, then pour some on the floor. Start from one corner and make your way to all the corners of the room. Use a lint free mop or a microfiber towel to spread the polish evenly. In addition, you can use the applicator that comes with the laminate polish you have bought.

Step 5 – Make sure that you apply the laminate polish in small sections so you can way your way around in a pattern. Before you start to apply the polish read the directions and go about the process accordingly. Once the first one has dried and you have waited as suggested, then you should start with the second coat if necessary. Once you are done let the polish sit for 24 hours without any foot traffic.
